Beauty Favourites of 2014!

 

 

Yes ladies and gents, the time has come to round up 2014 with a beauty post. This year has been a hectic one, but has brought me amazing things! I started Missfixedbeauty and really got a feel for this world. I'd like to thank all of you for reading my blog and hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year, I hope you all have a great year in 2015 and you go for your goals!

 

 

 

So lets kick this off!

 

 

 

 

 

My two favourite foundations of the year have to be these drugstore beauties! On the left is better skin by Maybelline and on the right is Lasting Finish Nude by Rimmel. Better skin has such a lovely glowing finish and is similar to Rimmel Wake Me Up, the lightest colour is slightly darker then my skin tone but nothing a little blending doesn't sort out. And as for the Rimmel foundation, wow. This is Rimmel's latest foundation, it has a medium coverage and is perfect for pale skin! It lasts all day, but the thing I love most about this foundation is how natural and soft the finish is! These two foundations have been rocking my year

 

 

 

 

This year I have been loving Tanya Burrs lip glosses. I was never much of a fan when it came to lip glosses, but these are lovely. Tanya has brought out some amazing colours, my favourite is 'picnic in the park' (middle) I also wear 'heart skipped a beat' over the top of a red lipstick to give an amazing staple red lip!

 

 

Keeping to the lips, I have also been loving the Rimmel apocalips matte's. They are so lovely, and although matte they don't dry your lips out at all. The nude of the collection (above) is my everyday favourite

 

 

I am sure the collection concealer is on everyone's favourite list, so I'm not going to talk about this product in detail, however this is by far the greatest concealer ever!

 

 

Barry M's brow kit has been keeping my brows on point. It looks very messy I know! But since I brought it I have used it everyday, I have also used the brush that came with it too!

 

 

These 3 have been my favourite lip liners. The middle is from Essence and is a great dupe of the MAC lip liner saw which is what Kylie Jenner uses. The other two are from Maybelline. So as you may have guessed I am a little obsessed with the 'Kylie Jenner' lips, I use these to give myself the perfect k.j lip!

 

 

As I am sure you all have too, I have be loving the new brand Make Up Revolution! These are two pallets I have been loving the most. On the left is Iconic 3 and right is ( actually I am not sure! )

These palettes are great quality and I love them so much!

 

 

And finally is this Maybelline mascara!  I brought this due to Essie Button, and I fell in love straight away.

Hello dolls

 Today I am going to share with you my eye shadow palette collection which is growing and growing. How has your week been? Mines been pretty busy, I am sorry for little instagram posts and tweets, me and my boyfriend have just got our move in date to the new flat and everything has been a little hectic on top of me starting my new job. I work at BANK which I am sure you know is a fashion and footwear store, I am really enjoying it! I have never worked in fashion retail before so I'm enjoying helping ladies pick out Christmas jumpers and what not. Any way, lets take a look in my palette collection!

 

 

 

I have a grand total of 6 palettes. Two are Make-up Revolution, Barry M, MUA, Elizabeth Arden and Urban Decay. I also decided to put my little Rimmel 4 shadow kit in for some reason, I don't really use this anymore because it is super dark, but I keep it for my collection anyway!

I am sure I don't need to tell you what this amazing palette is, but if you don't know, its Urban Decays Naked 3 palette. I adore this palette, the colours suit my bluey greeny eyes perfectly! My favourite shadow in the Naked 3 palette is probably Factory, its a slightly light brown that I put in the outer corners of my eyes to give the effect that I have put effort in on mornings that I am rushed. This is the most expensive palette I own, but I would say it is so worth it because you can create a load of wearable day and night looks with this beautiful palette

This is a Make-Up Revolution palette and cost only £4. This one is called Romantic Smoked, I actually brought this for mine and my boyfriends one year anniversary to create a super pretty smoky eye for the meal. This palette is like no other and creates so many nice looks, very suitable for Autumn and Winter due to the dark greens and purples and gold shimmers! This palette will get lots of love over Christmas by anyone who owns it

As you can probably see this palette looks awfully similar to...the Naked 3 palette? Yes! This is Make-up Revolutions dupe of Urban Decays Naked 3. And let me tell you this, there is no difference between the two. This palette is highly pigmented and the product is such high quality. This palette has had so much love I can't even tell you

This is a very old but extremely great Elizabeth Arden palette with blush. I really love this palette and as Autumn was coming this year went through a long stage of wearing the brown red shade over and under my eye and it looked lovely. The only negative thing I have to say on this palette is the shadows can sometimes be drying on my eyelids. The colours and so rich and perfect and the blush is a lovely red to peachy shade

This is MUA undressed palette that I brought about a month ago. This is a great palette and is full of pretty natural shades that can be worn with 'no make-up make-up'. There are lots of shimmers in this palette and some give the eye that nice shimmery wet look to brighten the eyes. I always wear eye shadow primer with this palette to make the colours stand out more as they aren't as pigmented as over palettes from similar brands like Make-up Revolution. But overall for £4 I love it so much

Hello Barry M Starry Eyed! This is new from Barry M and after seeing Zoella post about it I just had to buy it. I wear the middle gold shade on the whole of my eyelid for and every day look and it looks gorgeous! This palette is so high quality for the under £10 price, puts this on your Christmas Wish List girls!

The is a brand new palette and the colours are just amazing! This palette costs £7.99. The bottom row looks like it would be my favourite, let me know what you think? Although my Superdrug seller make-up Revolution it never updates to their new collections and hasn't yet added the I Heart Make-up range which this is in, so may need to order this next pay-day because I know I would get so much use out of it. And are you digging the plum shade on the bottom row as much as I am?

 

 

This in also a new palette and costs £6, I love the nude shades and think this palette would create some really simple and day wearable looks! This is one of them 'I don't have much time to do my make-up but still want to look like I've made the effort' palettes. So pretty right?

 

 

This is one of make-up Revolutions best sellers at the moment and I am dying to see why. The packaging is very sleek and stylish and the applicator looks like it would work wonders on my lashes as curled applicators always work best for me. This mascara is also only £3!

 

 

 

I love make-up Revolutions Blushing Heart Goddess highlighter so I am dying to try this. This blush is only £4.99 and they are all dupes of Tartes blushers. The colours are pretty as well as the packaging

 

 

 

I also love the look of the fluid blusher in Pink Dew. It costs £3 and looks perfect for pale skin!

 

 

And last but not least is this matte lipgloss in berry. I love berry shades at this time of year and really want to get into matte lip-glosses more as I feel they really give that matte feel more then a matte lipstick. This pretty little product cost's £3 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my few top things I really want to get from Make-Up Revolution. Of course there are many other item I want but I thought I wouldn't bore you with a massive list! I hope this has given you some inspiration and if you haven't tried Make-Up Revolution yet I would highly recommend you try them out. A lot of their product are dupes of high end brands such as MAC and Tarte. Their products are wonderful, high quality and honestly addictive because they are always bringing out new lipstick shades and palettes!

Autumn Boots

 

 

 

 

 

Hey Girls and Guys! Today I'm going to show you some photos of some of my favourite Autumn and Winter boots. I hope you enjoy this post, I'm trying to become more creative, and I thought taking photographs in a misty field would fit that perfectly. I love Autumn as I bet most of you do as well, its such a beautiful time of year full of leafs, hot chocolates, candles, baths and jumpers! And shoes must change in autumn because its soggy and damp. So take a look at what I have and what I style

them with, enjoy!

 

 

 

 

These lovely boots are from H&M and cost £29.99. I've had them since last winter and they are by far the best boots I have ever owned, they are so easy to style with clothes and are SO BEAUTIFUL! I hope these boots last me for many winters to come

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is my favourite coat for winter is from Matalan and was around £40. I love this coat because its slightly over sized and always keeps me super cosy on cold winter mornings. The coat is in size 10 and is in a washed out green colour with a furry hood. Seriously if you're considering getting a coat similar to this do it! I don't wear it when I want to look well dressed for work or interviews, but anything from shopping to walking this coat is perfect for! 

 

 

 

 

I prefer to wear darker jeans during the colder months of the year and these skinny jeans are from H&M. I ripped the knees myself using scissors and a razor to make them look slightly messier. I love these jeans and H&M always have the comfiest jeans, I hate itchy and really really tight jeans. They are super cheap, great for casual wear and you can rip the knees to change the style completely! 

 

 

 

 

 

These lovely leather black boots are also from H&M and cost £25. They are very comfortable and give some more style to my outfits. I wear these for both casual and formal because they work great for both! I love the elastic bits on the side. These got well with skinny jeans, skater skirts, tight skirts and dresses and look lovely with tights and socks

 

 

  

These socks are from new look and cost £4.99. They are perfect to wear with boots and also make really snug bed time socks!

I have this wonderful blush in the shade 020 Pink Rose ( as shown above! ) and my god, this is such a powerful blush!

 

Price? The price of this blush was £2.99 I believe so super cheap, and from a good quality drug store brand! I got mine from Superdrug ( UK ) and rimmel stand should have this blush, this is one colour out of a selection of four.

 

Quality? Great quality! this blush is super pigmented though so be careful because I little will go a very long way! Because of how little you need of this product to get such a nice blushed look, although its small, this is a product that will last a good year or so!

 

Colour? I got the shade pink rose because its a very pale pink and with winter just around the corner I thought it would look lovely with some of my darker lipsticks, although thinking about it darker pink blushes look so lovely in winter too, blush is optional and personal choice, there's no right or wrong!

 

Packaging? As some of you may know I am a mobile make-up artist ( getting there slowly ). So the makeup I usually go for that I want to be using on clients as well as myself has to be strongly packaged! I feel like this blush has a stronger lid compared to Rimmels stay matte powder, so yes this blush will survive a make-up bag, and its so tiny as well!

 

Would I recommend this product? To girls that are used to using lighter blushes ( such as myself ) id be careful with using these at first because I can not stress enough how pigmented this product is ( which of course is not a bad thing ) So use it lightly! But yes I defiantly would recommend this as you could get all four blushes for under £10! So overall these are great blushers, great colours, great stay, great prices, tiny and cute, who could as for more?
